Toddler from Hell
Hideous, no? John pencils, Jason inks. For the newest version of Rappan Athuk!
HEY! Be certain to stop by John Larrey's blog: Mythellaneous Conjurings and check out his musings on gaming past, present and future. He's posted a lot of stuff already, so dig into the archives. His posts on his personal gaming history are among my favorites, this multi-part series (introduction, here's part one, part 2 and part 3), for example.

Free RPG Day surprise bonus for shut-ins
For those lacking a local game store and bummed out about missing free stuff, I offer a mere palliative: for one day only, during my personal "store hours" (I'm open 'til 7pm Eastern time!) send me an email (gurnalon @ gmail dot com) and I'll send you a PDF of my mini-adventure Zogorion Lord of the Hippogriffs. So there. Not perfect, but I can at least say I've done my bit. To those who've already ordered the zine version (still available over at The Dungeon Dozen) thanks a million.
New zine-type stuff is currently in playtesting and will make its advent before too long. Yes, its taking forever, but we've been super busy doing art commissions....in fact my "store hours" today will find me chained the drawing board desperately trying to tie up loose ends. This is why we're using the zine format but avoiding the "periodical" approach. John L.'s mini-adventure (which will be significantly more substantive than Zogorion) is looking pretty cool.
To those who are currently waiting for illustrations: thanks for your patience...we're working right now!

More Zines Approaching your Perimeter
Well, its official folks, the zine proliferation has begun. We here at UI have several works in the pipeline, none of which fully qualify as a zine per se. We're using the zine format (copy shop reproduction) to provide hard copies of our works, but not publishing a periodical as such. Each work will be a discrete unit, a module, supplement or whatever that stands on its own.
Below is an interior illustration for John Larrey's zine/module Touch of Evil, which will be available very soon. It's a short adventure suitable for use as a one-shot or as a single night mini-adventure for your Oe/BX-type campaigns.

Also immanent: Jason's collection of creatures for Oe/BX-type games, featuring monsters previously seen in Knockspell and Fight On! as well as many beasts hinted-at on The Dungeon Dozen. Cover preview below.

Zine alert!
ZINE ALERT! Inspired by Christian Walker's thoroughly enjoyable Loviatar zine, I thought I'd take a crack at a zine/module hybrid. Zogorion Lord of the Hippogriffs is a micro-sized adventure written for the Swords & Wizardry rules (which means almost interchangeable with any Oe or Basic-style version of the original role playing game). The module features a detached card stock cover/map and a digest sized 16 page booklet published using old fashioned copy shop technologies and mailed to you (in the US) for the sub-break-even price of $2.00.
My secondary aim in writing this module was to present an adventure that could be played to completion in under two hours (google+ style), with a little wiggle room for player/character intros, loot division, funeral arrangements, etc.
Blurb:
While aimlessly wandering from hex to hex, your motley assortment of ne'er-do-wells receives an unusual invitation to dinner from an even more unusual individual. He calls himself Mighty Zog, Lord of the Hippogriffs. Preposterous, perhaps, but given your typically impecunious position and the complete absence of anywhere else to stay for the night in the gods-forsaken wilderness, you may wish to take him up on the offer...and then rob him blind. Would that it were so easy!
To order go to The Dungeon Dozen and click on the Buy It Now button on the left sidebar of the page...
Thanks!
